12Jun2011 1130: Classroom Discipline

This is how it worked in my elementary school. If you got rowdy, your name went on the board as a warning and public shaming. Continued shenanigans got you checkmarks after your name, 1-3 marks meaning anywhere from 10-40 minutes of after-school sitting. I think four marks earned you the super-detention that had parents and manual labor involved.

It's a pretty good system until the boys start skating the edge of two marks for street cred.
